I like to think of myself as a smart guy with a humble attitude. I work in community-based research and this always pushes me to engage actively with community members and listen actively to what they need and say.
First thing you will learn about me is that the Meaford Public Library is my favourite space in the municipality. Not only do I love to read but the library has endless free programs for all ages, and acts as Meaford’s safer space for 2SLGBTQIA+ people. My involvement with the municipality began a year after I moved back to the area. I wanted to contribute to my community in a meaningful way and decided to apply to serve as a Meaford Public Library Board Trustee. I have also worked with the MPL to revitalize and create programing, I run some of the programing myself, and I even have presented at library conferences with library staff.
This love of community has blossomed into a heart-felt desire to help my community in more ways. Running for municipal council feels right, and is an amazing way I can give back to the community that continues to give me so much.
